Launched in April 2005, Mutoh's Spitfire mild solvent printers are the perfect complement to Mutoh's existing range of entry-level & mid-range Rockhopper eco-solvent printers and high-end solvent printers, namely the Toucan and the Osprey.
For speed-intensive sign applications, Spitfire printers will perfectly fill the gap between eco-solvent printers and industrial-level full solvent printers.
Spitfire mild solvent inks have excellent drying and drop fixation characteristics and are suited for printing on a wide range of uncoated, eco-coated and coated substrates. Spitfire mild solvent prints offer mid-term outdoor durability of up to 3 years.
Spitfire 65 & 90
Mutoh Spitfire 65/90 Extreme printers will deliver real time production print speeds of up to 16.5 m²/h on uncoated vinyl and are specifically suited for typical sign businesses focusing on volume production of prints for mid-term outdoor use.

Spitfire 100
Tuned for Mutoh's Spitfire mild solvent inks, the Spitfire 100 direct-to-vinyl printer features a completely new hardware design. Spitfire 100 incorporates eight 360 nozzle piezo drop on demand inkjet heads and 16 ink slots.
Offered as a total solution, ready for volume production of outdoor prints, the Spitfire 100 moreover is a mild solvent friendly printer. All parts of the ink supply path (ink supply tubings, head caps, pumps, etc.) are solvent resistant. Together with the machine, Mutoh is supplying a "Good Shape Kit" (6 months autonomy), with all necessary parts to perform periodical maintenance in a trice.
