New Media Manager

Both PosterShop and ProductionHouse Version 7.0 include an all-new Media Manager application, which dramatically reduces the time and effort needed to calibrate and color profile media. The new 7.0 Media Manager is 100% compatible with 6.5 profiles, assuring you get the same color with existing 6.5 media profiles. The new wizard-driven application walks you through each step of the process and includes visual tools that make each step faster.

It also includes a new profile grading system that helps you pick the right profile for your print application. This tool can rate and compare all of the installed media profiles, taking the guess work out of which profiles are best suited for a given application. Profiles are automatically rated on color gamut, print speed, color accuracy and ink usage. You get a standard report on how well each media works for print applications such as fine art, CAD, signage, POP, proofing and photographic reproduction.

ONYX Profile Generator Included

ProductionHouse 7.0 includes ICC color profile generation, with proprietary color tools specifically designed for large-format inkjet printing. These tools include proprietary GCR controls that let you get the full gamut from solvent and UV inks.

New Layout Tool

This workflow front-end, inlcuded in ProductionHouse, was specifically designed for flatbed printers. The new Layout application provides custom placement of print jobs. You will see your flatbed board and place jobs, cut marks, crop marks, and barcodes right where you want them.

This Layout application also includes easy size, crop, tile, and color corrections tools so that you can quickly prepare jobs and setup print frames. The Layout print frames go to the 7.0 RIP-Queue for processing and printing.

Variable Data

The ProductionHouse Layout front-end includes a Variable Data printing tool allowing youto create batches of customized print jobs such as signs, promotional items, advertisements, and full-color labels. This tool can add variable text, images, and barcodes to batch print jobs.

You can import data fields from database files and preview the results on-screen before spending ink and media. Unlike other variable data tools, the ONYX workflow tool is optimized for large-format printing, so 10 or 1,000 prints start printing almost immediately.
