Lumocolour ® Jet

The STAEDTLER Lumocolor ® Jet ink is a water-based, highly lightfast pigment ink for piezo printers which can even be used for printing on uncoated materials, such as PVC, PP, screen printing film, glass, or aluminum.

When using STAEDTLER Lumocolor ® Jet ink on non-absorbent materials, it is necessary to heat up the material evenly from above. By using Lumocolor ® Jet inks, existing piezo printers are now suitable for a practically unlimited range of surface printing materials and applications.

STAEDTLER Lumocolor ® Jet ink  allows you to print on whatever you like.

One ink, one printer, and the greatest possible range of applications.

As digital printing replaces traditional printing, the tendency has been to pigeon-hole the different ink technologies into specific fields so we tend to use solvent inks for printing on vinyl, UV curable inks for rigid media, and waterbased inks for printing paper.

That has all changed due to the new waterbased STAEDTLER Lumocolor Jet ink for piezo printers.

Using an innovative ink technology, almost all materials can be printed with one single piezo printer:

  • vinyl,
  • paper,
  • wood,
  • glass, etc.

Through this new technology, entirely new fields of application open for digital printing; fields which up until now either couldn't be printed digitally, or couldn't be printed at all with anything near satisfactory results.

The god-father for this milestone in ink jet development is the famous STAEDTLER Lumocolor film pen, a marker whose name is synonymous with the solution to problems in this area.
